Welcome to the Village 2019 will take place from 18th - 21st of july.
‘A World that Works’ is the goal of the large group of friends behind Welcome to the Village. And this is being worked on throughout the year. For example, chefs, farmers and caterers work together in a logical and local potential food chain, and the handmade location design is created by large groups of people: from retired carpenters who teach young creators the tricks of the trade to refugees who want to get to work.
During the festival we’ll celebrate this way of living together. Welcome to the Village, together with more than 500 volunteers, will build a temporary village in the middle of the summer in which we’ll put together a challenging programme of discovery with music from around the world, theatre and dance, visual arts and special co-productions. And it’s all as green as possible.
