Eleven alleys tour
Walk through the city centre along a number of alleys and courtyards with a real Liwwadder guide.
Leeuwarden is a real alley city, just like Harlingen and Amsterdam. In 1870, the Leeuwarden city center had 66 alleys that were less than three metres wide, 50 of which were even narrower than one and a half metres. Their total length was more than two kilometers. We often do not realize that the oldest alleys in Leeuwarden date from the late Middle Ages.
Every Saturday in August you can walk with a guide from Leeuwarden Tour.
