BoskLab: Marloes van der Singel

Marloes van der Singel writes poems about floating ants, Hubba Bubba and losing what you love. She melts for misfits, has a great love for flora and fauna and a somewhat disturbing fascination with death. These themes are regularly reflected in her work published in magazines such as Kluger Hans, Ei magazine, the Optimist and the Season Zine. She is School Poet of Fryslân and works as a climate poet. When she's not writing, she prefers to walk barefoot through the woods where she grew up.

For BoskLab, Marloes investigates how she uses the power of poetry to create awareness and hold up a mirror to young and old, by making a poetry route in Leeuwarden along impressive monumental trees that tell their own story.
