Kunstruimte H47
Kunstruimte H47 was founded in 2018 in the year of the Cultural Capital Leeuwarden-Fryslan 2018. The municipality of Leeuwarden and the residents of the Haniahof, the VHDG Foundation, GAF and the artists of the Haniahof have transformed the need for an open stage for contemporary visual art to the Kunstruimte H47. Art space H47 should become a legacy of the Cultural Capital Leeuwarden-Fryslan 2018. This should guarantee access to visual art.
H47 was established with the support of the Municipality of Leeuwarden to promote a vibrant commonplace for visual arts in Leeuwarden and the surrounding area. The H47 Foundation aims to stimulate the visual arts climate in Leeuwarden and the surrounding area. The H47 Foundation facilitates this with a beautiful Art Space, located in the heart of Leeuwarden at Haniasteeg 47.

In addition to the Art Space, the Haniahof also houses the VHDG Foundation, Graphic Atelier Friesland (GAF) and the Hania artists. These parties give substance to the programming in the Kunstruimte H47.
