In the beautiful 12th century Dorpskerk Huizum, concerts are regularly put on by Cultuurpodium Dorpskerk Huizum (cultural venue of the village church in Huizum) in Leeuwarden.
In the 'Muziek+' series, a concert is given once a month on a Friday afternoon from 5 pm to 6 pm. In addition, once a month, at 3 p.m., a concert is given on Sunday afternoon. The concerts can be very different from each other: from classical to popular, solo singers, duos, choirs and orchestras.
A few times a year, a lecture is given (usually) by a prominent Dutch person. Dorpskerk Huizum is also used for exhibitions.
