Sets your heart on fire

During the coming dark and cold mid-winter months, Carabosse will be bringing their newest show; 'Instillation de Feu' to Leeuwarden to warm the city. The rustle and smell of fire brings everyone together, to wander and wonder through the Leeuwarder city centre. Where water and fire normally work against eachother, they work to keep the flames burning in this show. The French collective will be coming to Leeuwarden for the third time, from 30 January to 1 February.

Compagnie Carabosse has travelled the world over since 1997. Their outstanding shows have grabbed the hearts of visitors in Sao Paolo, Moscow, Riga; Melbourne, Marrakesh, Singapore; and Dublin (and many more). Leeuwarden has welcomed the collective before, during the 'Friesland Vaart' event in 2006, and in the winter of 2009.

During the show, the artists fight with the elements, which makes for unique and crackling (literally) street theatre. The city centre will be transformed into a playground of fire, accessible to everyone. The new exhibition by Company Carabose has the lovely intention of bringing everyone together.
