Rain in Leeuwarden

Regen

You didn't foresee this when you booked a weekend in Leeuwarden: it’s pouring. As you wring the rainwater out of your hair, you think about where you can let your soggy shoes dry for a while. Bummer! But luckily there are lots of fun things to do in Leeuwarden, even indoors.

Visit an exhibition!

Leeuwarden is bursting with beautiful museums! In the larger museums – the Fries Museum and the Princessehof Ceramic Museum – exciting temporary exhibitions alternate with permanent collections. In the smaller museums, such as the Grutterswinkel and the Eysingahuis, you’ll be amazed by fascinating customs from the past. In the Fries Natuurmuseum, you will learn everything about Friesland's underwater world, about voyages of discovery and about animals. There’s so much to choose from! Where will you go first?
