Grote of Jacobijnerkerk
The Grote or Jacobijnerkerk is the oldest and architecturally most important church in Leeuwarden. For more than seven centuries, people have met in this impressive monument. Upon entering, surprising elements are the beautiful combination of the modern interior with the age-old elements, such as the graves for Frisian Nassau's in the choir, the 17th-century pulpit and the famous Müller organ from 1724-1727. The Grote or Jacobijnerkerk is used for various activities such as conferences, concerts, symposia, meetings, lectures and parties. The exceptionally attractive and flexible space, together with the adjacent rooms, make the Grote or Jacobijnerkerk an exceptionally attractive location for events of various sizes.
