Grote of Jacobijnerkerk
The Grote of Jacobijnerkerk is the oldest and from an architectural point of view most important church in Leeuwarden. For more than seven centuries, people have met each other in this impressive monument. Upon entering, one is pleasantly surprised by the beautiful combination of the modern interior with centuries-old elements, such as the tombs for the Frisian Nassaus in the choir of the church, the 17th-century pulpit and the famous Müller organ that was built in 1727. The Grote of Jacobijnerkerk is used for a variety of activities, such as conferences, concerts, symposiums, meetings, lectures, and festivities. The exceptionally attractive space with its adjacent spaces can be used in many ways, which makes the Grote of Jacobijnerkerk an exceptionally attractive location for small or big events.
