
Canticle of the Sun Francis of Assisi through the eyes of contemporary artists
until 6 July
Thirty-two artists — mainly from Friesland — each interpreting The Canticle of the Sun by Francis of Assisi in their own way, resulting in over 70 artworks. The works range from paintings and ceramics to wood sculptures and poetry. This unique exhibition is an ode to the natural world and is being held in honour of the 800th anniversary of The Canticle of the Sun, written by Francis of Assisi. Opening hours: Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Each Sunday afternoon, related activities will accompany the exhibition.
