Group accommodation in the heart of the Frisian Lake District, right in the middle of the beautiful village of Grou with cozy terraces, shops, and restaurants. We are easily accessible by boat, car, or public transport, and we have room for more than 150 people!
In the heart of the watersports village of Grou, you will find Herberg Oer 't Hout. Since 1955, Oer 't Hout has hosted large groups (up to 190 people), as well as families, hikers, and cyclists heading out to discover De Alde Feanen National Park. Historically, Oer 't Hout focused on all facets of watersports. Today, watersports activities are still available.
The accommodation is situated in a unique spot in Friesland. At the rear of the building lies a sunny terrace by the water. This water is directly connected to the Pikmeer. From Oer 't Hout, you can easily discover De Alde Feanen National Park by canoe, SUP board, or other floating means of transport. Who knows, you might even spot an otter or hear the mating call of a bittern!
Oer 't Hout is located on the village square of Grou. Within walking distance (just a few dozen meters) you will find cozy eateries, shops, and sights.
The name Oer 't Hout originates from the old inn. To get here, one had to walk across a small wooden bridge. In Grou, this was called 't Hout. The bridge is no longer there, but the name has always remained.
At Herberg Oer 't Hout, you can count on simple yet comfortably furnished rooms with private bathrooms at an affordable price. Many of the rooms have a view of the water or the village square. A comprehensive and delicious breakfast is included in the price as standard.
