Emmakade Antiek located on Emmakade 2 is in a monumental canal house (built in 1906), a few minutes' walk from the city centre of Leeuwarden. We, Herman Dolstra and Joke van Houten, have always had a passion for antique, special items. In 1988 this culminated in a shop in our house at Emmakade 4. In a side room, the hallway, the attic and later the front room. When the neighbour's building at number 2 came up for sale in 1994, we turned it into our store. We have quit our teaching jobs and put all our energy into the business.
