House of Taste

Taste & Experience is the motto of House of Taste, and we do so with dedication. With our own assortment, we have further filled the shop with wonderfully beautiful delicacies from home and abroad, allowing you to experience the tasting and enjoying for yourself.

In 2009, Jan-Tjip Douwstra, with many years of experience in the hospitality industry and an above-average interest in food and drink, started importing olive oil and vinegars from Tuscany (Italy) to sell as a wholesaler to the hospitality industry and specialty shops throughout the country. Over the years, the House of Taste assortment expanded to include various delicacies from both the Netherlands and abroad, enabling them to supply foodservice companies as well. 

In addition to its wholesale function, House of Taste is also frequently present at various food events and markets. "Taste & Experience" is the motto of House of Taste, and we do so with pleasure. Since May 2015, we have opened our first delicatessen shop on Kleine Kerkstraat in Leeuwarden. Featuring a large part of our own assortment, we have further filled the shop with wonderfully beautiful delicacies from home and abroad, allowing you to experience the tasting and enjoyment for yourself. Think of domestic and foreign cheeses, sausages, nuts, cured meats, wines, etc. 

In addition to daily groceries, we also provide snacks, meals, lunch, sandwiches, and charcuterie boards through the shop for every occasion. From small to large groups, we are happy to help you plan.
