Tryater
Tryater is Friesland's most versatile theatre company and the oldest company in the Netherlands. We bring unique and contemporary theatre for young and old to theatres, village halls, gymnasiums, schools, living rooms and special locations.
Tryater performs roughly 500 shows a year for approximately 50,000 spectators. We regularly organise in-depth programmes around our performances and give workshops and guided tours.
Tryater Jong & Educatie (Young & Education)
We also put on appealing theatre performances for children and young people and give interactive workshops for primary and secondary schools. For teachers, there is the special "Wy Spylje (We Play). More information on this can be found here.
Tryater Satellyt (Satellite)
To strengthen the theatre climate in Friesland, we support a number of young theatre companies - our "satellites" - with our expertise, space and material. These include HOMSK, Skoft&Skiep and Illustere Figuren.
