11fountains Hindeloopen

Inspiration for the fountain of Hindeloopen is the tree of life with the deer and doe surrounding the tree on the coat of arms of the city. The tree symbolises life energy, but also stands for wisdom. The deer and doe feed on it. Now beautiful exotic birds are perched in the tree. Sitting on the large, wooden antlers that surround the tree, you can see them 'talking' to each other, spitting water. More info about us?

This fountain is part of the 11fountains: eleven fountains in the eleven Frisian cities, designed by eleven artists from eleven different countries. 11fountains is an international art project for Leeuwarden-Fryslân 2018, Cultural Capital of Europe, conceived and curated by Anna Tilroe.
