Photography Exhibition: Verbinding (Connection)

Leeuwarden, July 2025 – On Saturday, 4 July at 11 am, Fotoclub Heechterp Schieringen will open the special photography exhibition CONNECTION. The exhibition is a triptych in which photographers from the neighbourhood share their personal perspectives on our connection with our surroundings, the people around us and the traces we leave behind.

The exhibition brings together three themes:

• The earth beneath our feet
• The traces we leave behind
• The steps we take

The photographs were taken in the Heechterp-Schieringen neighbourhood and show how different photographers experience and capture the same surroundings in their own unique way. Each photograph tells its own story and invites visitors to see the neighbourhood from a different perspective.

The official opening will take place at Insulinde Buurt- en Speeltuinvereniging. During the opening, visitors can join the photographers on a walking route taking in the different exhibition locations. The exhibition will remain on display at several locations throughout the neighbourhood during July and August.

With this exhibition, Fotoclub Heechterp Schieringen aims not only to showcase photography, but also to bring local residents together and spark conversations about the neighbourhood, its history and its future.
