Mini exhibition: ‘De tiid hâldt gjin skoft’
Exhibitions
until 1 March
A look back at everyday life in Leeuwarden in years past: vanished shops, children playing in the streets, and traditional crafts slowly disappearing from the cityscape.
The corner grocer that has disappeared, Monday wash day, children playing marbles in the street, or the SRV van (a mobile grocery shop) making its rounds — nostalgia takes centre stage in the mini photo exhibition De tiid hâldt gjin skoft (Time Never Stands Still) at Tresoar. Using photographs from the image archive, the exhibition looks back at forgotten crafts, changing streetscapes and everyday customs from past decades.
