During Family Fun Day, the entire ice rink is open for families to enjoy free skating. You can skate a lap in the opposite direction, play ice hockey on the outdoor rink, or slide across the ice on a sled or even an inflatable swim ring!

During Family Fun Day, both the indoor and outdoor rinks are open to the public. As there is no mandatory skating direction that afternoon, speed skaters are not permitted on the ice. A friendly skating race between families, however, is of course welcome! In addition to ice fun, there is also snow fun on the rink, where you can build the best snowmen and enjoy snowball fights on a lovely pile of snow.

Other (friendly competition) games can also be played, such as tag or ice hockey on the 400-metre rink. On the infield, you can skate your own Elfstedentocht route that afternoon. The ice rink provides various materials, but feel free to bring your own items as well.

  • Scooters and inline skates

  • Waveboards and skateboards

  • Two-wheeled vehicles

  • Motorised vehicles (Oxboard, Hoverboard, Segway, etc.)
