Pride Party

Join us to celebrate Pride at Café YAI on Saturday, June 14th, from 8 PM to 4 AM! A full night of queerness, joy, performance, and community is waiting for you, so come as you are, and bring your friends for a night you won’t forget! 

We’ll kick things off with a short opening speech, followed by our Queer History & Pride Quiz—the winning team will get free drinks. After that, the spotlight is yours at the Open Mic, where anyone can share a song, a story, a poem, or some comedy—don’t forget to sign up!  Then comes the most glamorous part of the night: our drag show starring the incredible Miss O’ Fonia and the iconic Royel, performing your favorite pop hits and bringing amazing energy to the stage. After the show, the party continues all night long, so come dance with your friends to a playlist curated by you! Bites are on us! 

We want to celebrate Pride together and remind ourselves that it is also protest, visibility, and a call to keep fighting for emancipation. In a time when queer and trans people, as well as other marginalized groups, are still facing discrimination and attacks on their rights, it’s more important than ever to gather in joy, in resistance, and in community.  That’s why NHL Stenden Pride and Café YAI are a safe space—we do not tolerate homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, ableism, or hate speech of any kind.  This night is about showing up for each other, celebrating who we are, and being in community.
