
Canticle of the Sun Francis of Assisi through the eyes of contemporary artists
8 June until 6 July
Thirty-two mainly Frisian artists interpret the Canticle of the Sun by Francis of Assisi in over 70 works of art in their own way by means of paintings, ceramics, wooden sculptures and poems. This unique exhibition is an ode to all of nature and is organized in honor of the 800th anniversary of the Canticle of the Sun, written by Francis. Opening hours Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. During the exhibition there are related activities on Sunday afternoon.
