Murder and Mayhem Walking Tour

Murder, manslaughter, break-ins, trials and daring escapes – all the ingredients for a spine-chilling walk through Leeuwarden’s criminal past.
Leeuwarden’s former garrison, its prison and its colourful nightlife have given rise to some extraordinary stories. Your guide will tell you about spectacular prison escapes, including the famous raid during the Second World War. We follow the trail left behind by criminal vendettas and violence in the city centre’s nightlife.
Each guide takes a maximum of 15 people. If you would like to join the tour but can no longer book through the website, we may be able to arrange an additional guide. Feel free to call or email us.
