Boat rides through Leeuwarden's canals and moats. The departure jetty is on Nieuwestad near Intersport Luxen. You will find the sailing times on the website, at the starting locations and at the ticket sales point Kleine Kerkstraat 5.
The volunteer organisation Stichting Praamvaren Leeuwarden organises tourist and group boat tours through the city.
The foundation operates five electrically powered pramen (traditional flat-bottomed boats), with a total capacity of 122 passengers. Each cruise includes both a skipper and a guide on board.
All boats are certified by the Maritime Inspection Authority to ensure optimal safety.
Our skippers hold the required boating licences and skilfully navigate the canals and waterways. Meanwhile, the well-trained guide shares interesting facts and stories about the city and its historic buildings. The boat tours take you through the canals and ring waterways of Leeuwarden.
