Life can sometimes feel existentially lonely. The realization that everything, including yourself and the people around you, will disappear one day. It is a difficult to comprehend and an unpleasant certainty. Comfort offers a way out, but where do we find comfort? And where do we find meaning? In a time in which great stories and faith are increasingly disappearing into the background, the answer to these questions is becoming increasingly difficult.
In Lift Me Up you listen to comforting stories from people from all over Friesland. These stories lift you up from the here and now for a moment, they are about connection and the strength you can draw from the people around you.

In Lift Me Up you listen to comforting stories from people from all over Friesland. These stories lift you up from the here and now for a moment, they are about connection and the strength you can draw from the people around you.
In this audio installation, you take part in a transformative journey. With five visitors at the same time you take a seat (lying down) and you are taken to another world. Moving mirror images and sound place you in the middle of an immersive experience. Experience it yourself, take a seat and let yourself be enveloped by words and images that touch you.
Visitors are accompanied when entering and leaving the installation.
