King's Day 2026

The King's birthday will be celebrated on a grand scale in Leeuwarden again this year!

Before King's Day kicks off, we start the festivities with King's Night. At Neushoorn (featuring TikTak, among others), on Wilhelminaplein, and in various cozy pubs in the city center, you can already warm up for an evening full of music and fun.

On King's Day itself, the entire city center transforms into one big party area. The flea market provides plenty of stalls, games, and a lively atmosphere. In addition, all kinds of parties are organized in various squares, throughout the city, and in the pubs. From the Mata Hariplein to the Prinsentuin and the Oldehoofsterkerkhof, there is something to experience everywhere.
