Discover the most impressive street art in Leeuwarden! The city is home to a wide range of both illegal and legal artworks in public spaces — including stickers, posters, graffiti and large-scale murals. In the city centre alone, you can discover more than 70 (!) works of street art. We offer the Street Art Tour in three different ways:

  1. Private Street Art Tour with a guide:
You can book a private tour any day of the week to discover the finest street art with your own guide. The guide will share the stories behind the artworks and, of course, knows where to find the very latest pieces. A private tour can be booked year-round. Standard tours last 1.5 hours and cost €84 per guide. You can book a tour directly via the A Guide to Leeuwarden website.

  2. Street Art Map:
You can also explore Leeuwarden’s street art independently using our Street Art Map. This A3 map includes one do-it-yourself walking route and two DIY cycling routes featuring the city’s most striking street art, and costs just €4. The map is available from Leeuwarden Visitor Center, Fries Museum and Ut Streekie. Using the QR code on the map, you can access additional information about the artworks.

  3. Public Street Art Free Tour with a guide:
In July and August, we offer a public Street Art Tour every Sunday at 2.00 pm. A guide will tell you the stories behind the artworks and knows exactly where to find the newest pieces. You’ll hear the latest news and discover hidden, newly created works. This tour is a Free Tour — there is no charge upfront. At the end of the tour, you decide what it was worth to you. You can book the tour directly via the A Guide to Leeuwarden website.
