When it comes to women, there’s no way around Mata Hari. Discover the story of the world’s most famous dancer and spy, told by Nynke de Jong (Alle Geschiedenis Ooit, Het Vuur van de Friezen).
This event is part of 150 Years of Mata Hari. This anniversary year is celebrated in Leeuwarden with art, dance, theatre, parties, exhibitions, tours, and much more. The programme runs from May 23 to August 7 (Mata Hari’s birthday) and can be found here.
OVER VROUWEN – met vrouwen (v/x/m) (ABOUT WOMEN – with women)
During OVER VROUWEN – met vrouwen (w/x/m), you’ll explore feminism in all its shapes and forms. At these recurring evenings, you’ll discover a new perspective on feminism each time. One edition might feature a scientist, the next a writer, a nurse, or a social worker. We introduce you to the Dolle Mina activists (then and now) and offer practical tools to help you take action yourself—whether with fists raised high or arms linked together in solidarity.
