During this 4–5 hour workshop at Makers, Annastasia from Atelier Nachtvlinder will teach you the art of eco-printing on linen. She will guide you step-by-step in creating a unique wall hanging that you can take home afterwards.

In this in-depth session, we will experiment with the intensity of natural pigments and work with natural modifiers such as alum, iron, and vinegar. You will discover how different plants react to natural fibers and how to deepen or subtly shift colors.

In addition to the practical process, we will delve into the origins of the plants we work with. Through storytelling, collaborative research, and sharing knowledge within the group, a rich, shared learning experience is created. Each participant creates one large linen wall textile (70 x 150 cm), finished with a wooden hanging rod with pre-drilled screws.

At home, you only need two hooks to hang your work yourself.

Included

– 70 x 150 cm high-quality linen
– Wooden hanging rod with pre-drilled screws
– All eco-print materials (plants, pigments, alum, iron modifiers, and optional vinegar)
– Use of all necessary tools and steam equipment
– Organic tea blends served during the workshop by Annastasia from Atelier Nachtvlinder

Anastasia always brings carefully collected plants to print on the linen. Additionally, she invites you to bring plants from your own garden or native soil (these can be fresh and/or dried plants).
