Graaf Landgraaf sings openly about mental health and breaking the silence
In The Layperson’s Sermon, Arjen Droog takes us on a personal and moving journey through the mental state of Fryslân. In The Layperson’s Sermon, Arjen Droog takes us on a personal and moving journey through the mental state of Fryslân. He offers a sharp and honest analysis of the major and worrying developments facing our society. On the topic of mental health, Graaf Landgraaf performs two remarkable songs. With his music, he helps bring what's in our heads into the open — making it easier to talk about.
A hopeful message also shines through the songs from the performance Ubuntu, as Janneke Warringa, Elske Fekkes, and Peter van der Zwaag invite us into a world where we can truly find and connect with each other again.
About Sân Dei
During Arcadia, we gather every Sunday morning at the Oldehoofsterkhof in Bouwurk to reflect on what makes life worthwhile. What truly matters? How should we live? What other possibilities are there?Sân Dei is an alternative, unconventional service for everyone — because everyone wonders from time to time: what am I really doing here on this earth? What is beauty? What brings comfort? What even matters at all?Poets, philosophers, artists, musicians, and scientists share their adventurous thoughts and offer inspiring perspectives. It’s a cheerful morning filled with hopeful stories, for people who (try to) believe in the good.
Everyone is welcome to be inspired by beautiful words, reflections, and music during Sân Dei. We begin each Sunday at 10:00 am with coffee, tea, lemonade, and cake.
This event takes place in De Keuken in Bouwurk at the Oldehoofsterkerkhof in Leeuwarden, Fryslân.
