Spring Fair Anne-Famkes Pleats
Sunday 25 May
Anne-Famkes Pleats has organized a Maitiid Fair (Harvest Fair) in the pleasant garden at the Dokkumer Ee. Come by and discover local, handmade and sustainable products from approximately fifteen exhibitors.
During the fair, there is plenty to discover: second-hand clothing, candles, jewelry, home accessories, baby items, fresh flowers, jam, syrups and much more. There is plenty of room for the children to play – and everything from a large trampoline to a sandbox and swings in the garden. There is also live music by ZoWhatsNew, the trio brings the relaxed atmosphere of the 60s and 70s to life. With a mix of easy-listening, a bit of jazz and well-known classics, they provide music that is easy on the ear.

The ice-cream and tea garden is definitely worth a visit. It is open Thursday to Sunday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Here you can enjoy artisanal ice cream from De Jong’s IJs in Gorredijk, fresh tea from the garden or a delicious cappuccino from the beans of Dutch Beans, and delicious cakes from Blooming Bakery – a social enterprise where the cakes are lovingly made by clients of the aid organization Fier.
The owners of Anne-Famkes Pleats ask visitors to come by bike (bike junction 9) if possible. This is not only practical because of the limited parking, but also a choice that contributes to a better environment. Are you coming? The Maitiid Fair promises to be a party once again.
