Buuten Kuier

Join Buuten on 1 November for a special autumn walk! During this walk, you’ll discover the diverse landscape surrounding De Groene Ster and De Grote Wielen. The route also takes you through a restricted nature area managed by It Fryske Gea, through Park Vijversburg, and across the golf course.
The Buuten Kuier is a walking tour through the remarkable countryside on the eastern side of Leeuwarden. During this route, you’ll discover the diverse landscape of De Groene Ster and the Grote Wielen. Part of the walk also passes through a restricted area managed by It Fryske Gea, through Park Vijversburg, and across the golf course.
You can choose a 12 km or 20 km route. Along the way you’ll walk on both paved and unpaved paths and enjoy the beautiful autumn colours. There are a few spots en route where you can buy a cup of coffee, and there are also refreshment points available.
Whether you’re a keen walker or simply fancy a fresh day outdoors, lace up your walking boots and discover the Buuten Kuier.
