This year, the Fries StraatFestival revolves around the idea of the ‘stopover’: that special moment when you briefly settle down in the midst of the city’s constant movement. Between departure and arrival, the street becomes our stage, creating a temporary space to land, to observe, and to share. A place where we pause to reflect on where we are now, while also looking ahead to what we want to create for the future. Strangers become fellow travellers, the everyday takes on a different colour, and in the here and now we come together. After that, each of us continues on our own path, carrying new impressions and energy.”
