Imagine grabbing a time machine and traveling from 1910 to 2026, landing in your hometown—on your birthday. How cool would it be to dance freely there to the coolest bands and DJs, for drag queens to battle it out with acts inspired by you, and for the wine to flow freely?

Mata Hari turns 150 today, and we are celebrating. We celebrate the life of a great, courageous woman who was far ahead of her time. She paved the way for all the women who came after her, for women of her time—but also for the women of today. That is why, on Friday, August 7, Mata Hari's birthday, we celebrate the freedom she cultivated.
We do this with a rich program full of live music, DJs, a pinch of drag, a dash of dance, and a splash of wine. Dive into the Mata Hari Disco Bunker , pull up a chair for a slice of birthday cake (on us!) , discover surprising acts, and toast together to perhaps the most intriguing Leeuwarder ever.
