Interactive Dance Performance: Pluk

Session

17 August

A magical dance performance about seeds and growth

There’s nothing quite like running your hands through peas, beans, chestnuts and pumpkin seeds.
That’s what Pluk thinks — and that’s where her adventure begins.

In the new interactive dance performance Pluk and the Pocket Full of Seeds, young children discover what it feels like when something grows. From a jacket pocket full of treasures, Pluk finds herself in a garden centre where everything rustles, lives and smells. When her pocket tears and the seeds scatter across the floor, a magical world of growth, movement and wonder begins to unfold. What happens when you let go of a seed? What can you do with it? And what happens when you start to move along with it?

This performance, from the makers of De Molkwei, blends dance, theatre and music into a playful, sensory experience. Children are invited to join in — to move, imagine and explore with their whole bodies.
It’s a story about growing and blooming, about holding on and letting go, and the magic of something small becoming something big.

This performance takes place in the White Box at Bouwurk, at the Oldehoofsterkerkhof in Leeuwarden, Fryslân.
