Blush at the Dinner Party

SPOONK celebrates its fifth anniversary with Blush at the Dinner Party, a playful, poetic and gently punk-inspired exhibition in which seven artists create an inclusive table together.
They explore togetherness, femininity, humour and absurdity through textiles, paintings, installations and performances. The exhibition brings together portraits of around forty Dutch and Frisian women on a large, handmade tablecloth, complemented by tableware, symbols and quotes.
Works by, among others, Caro Kroon, Riane Pater, Nicoline Goris, Erica Scheper, KUNSTMUTS, Attje Oosterhuis and Dolinda Toepoel show how everyday and historically overlooked stories come together in a poetic, critical and joyful setting. A table where everyone is welcome. A celebration of five years of creating space: for softness, for style, for each other.
