Ad Fahner on the Grote or Jacobijnerkerk church
Lecture/Debate
Sunday 18 October
In an illustrated lecture, Ad Fahner tells the story of the Jacobijnerkerk, the largest medieval church in the city.
From its construction by the Dominicans in the 13th century and the devastating city fire of 1392 to the stadtholders’ burial vault, the famous Müller organ and the church’s present and future role, this lecture covers more than seven centuries of history in just one hour.
Organised by HCL in collaboration with Aed Levwerd.
