SC Cambuur Victory Celebration
3 May
Mission Oldehove accomplished: SC Cambuur returns to the Eredivisie, and that calls for a grand celebration! On Sunday, May 3, the players and staff will be honoured at the Oldehove. The ceremony is hosted by the Municipality of Leeuwarden.
The Oldehoofsterkerkhof square will open at 12:00 pm on the day of the celebration. Make sure to arrive early, as capacity is limited—once it’s full, no more visitors can enter.
Due to the limited space, a bus tour has been arranged: from 2:45 pm, the players and staff will travel in a slowly moving open-top bus from the Kooi Stadium to the Oldehoofsterkerkhof.
The route runs from the stadium via Stadionplein, Heliconweg, Tesselschadestraat, Lange Marktstraat, Prins Hendrikstraat, Ruiterskwartier, and Groot Schavernek to the Oldehoofsterkerkhof. If you plan to cheer along the route, please note that the square will likely be full afterwards and no longer accessible.
The musical pre-programme at the Oldehove starts at 1:00 pm, and the official ceremony for the team will take place around 4:00 pm. The event concludes at 6:00 pm, after which the Oldehoofsterkerkhof will close.
