Tribute to the music of Live Aid concert

Concert

until 13 July

This year marks exactly 40 years since the world witnessed one of the most iconic and large-scale pop festivals ever organized.

Live Aid. Bob Geldof, lead singer of the Boomtown Rats, called upon dozens of bands and musicians to join forces and raise awareness for hunger and poverty in Africa — and they did. Live Aid became a massive event and a global success.

Live performance in Leeuwarden on July 13 A Tribute to the Music of Live Aid brings a musical homage to that legendary concert, forty years later. The band is touring across the Netherlands and will perform on Sunday, July 13 in the Prinsentuin in Leeuwarden — exactly on the day Live Aid took place in 1985. A special moment for the city, featuring special guest Bert Heerink (known from Vandenberg, Kayak, and Jan Akkerman). The concert is free to attend and starts at 4:00 pm.

Proceeds to The Quiet Community Leeuwarden…with special attention for The Quiet Community Leeuwarden.
