BoskLab: Linda de Haan

Illustrator and children's book maker Linda de Haan makes visual stories about Bosk as an extension of her water book about Leeuwarden.

She was born in a wâldhúske (a farm worker's cottage in the Frisian Woods) and still lives in the Fryske Wâlden. In addition to the peace and greenery of the Wâlden, Linda also likes to be inspired by the cities. She is working on a search book for all ages about the city and about water in all forms. In addition, she now also researches, draws and stamps about Bosk: about trees and people, about light and shadow, migration, about day and night.

Water and trees belong together, without trees and water no life on earth is possible. What is the relationship between tree and child. Where does it start? She depicts it in various forms: from leporello - a harmonica booklet, folded in a zigzag - to matchboxes.
