On February 2, 1999, the doors of Eetcafé de Koe Leeuwarden opened in the Grote Hoogstraat in Leeuwarden. A 28-seat eatery quickly became too small. A renovation followed so that about 100 people can be accommodated at the same time. The guests have continued to visit again and again ever since. The Lachende Koe Leeuwarden turned out to be a huge success from day one. It was and is still popular for the friendly and pleasant living room atmosphere, the value for your money and the charisma of the service staff.
