Hidden among the trees, surrounded by meadows, the Mineralogical Museum is located halfway along the road between Grou and Warten. The large barn of an old farmhouse has been converted into a museum.
Hidden among the trees, surrounded by meadows, lies the Mineralogical Museum halfway along the road between Grou and Warten. The large barn of an old farmhouse has been converted into a museum. In the former stable, a maze of passageways has been created, housing display cases. Seating areas have been installed in the old hayloft, along with a small classroom, and regularly changing exhibitions. What is there to see?
Many display cases are filled with minerals of beautiful colors and shapes. Rock crystal, amethyst, pyrite, sulfur, desert roses, you name it. Of course, there are also real gemstones such as diamonds and rubies. And fluorescent minerals as well.
