AquaZoo Leeuwarden

Come on a journey of discovery at AquaZoo Leeuwarden, the zoo of the North! Here you come face to face with many animals, including tigers, crocodiles, and polar bears, in various indoor and outdoor locations. The educational presentations make this not only a fun but also a very educational outing.

Put on your walking shoes, grab your backpack, and start exploring! At AquaZoo Leeuwarden, you’ll embark on a journey of discovery and learn all about the most extraordinary animals. Walk along the beach with the penguins, stroll right through the ring-tailed lemur enclosure, and come face-to-face with the tigers! 

Various educational presentations are held daily, in which the animal caretaker talks about the animals. Let yourself be surprised by many unique facts and trivia! Of course, there is also room to ask your own questions.  

Scattered throughout the park are various playgrounds and adventure trails. Cross the swamp on a raft, jump from stone to stone over the water, or balance on a bridge made of wooden posts to the other side. In the playground, you will find a giant air trampoline, a nest swing, and many more fun play equipment. Next to every playground, there is a catering facility and terrace, so that parents, grandparents, and accompanying adults can sit down and relax for a while.
