Waanzinnig Leuk! is a unique gift shop in the old prison De Blokhuispoort (Blokhuisplein 40). Shop here for beautiful and special (Räder) items to give away or treat yourself. Also, take a look at the old prison once you're done shopping.
The Blokhuispoort is Leeuwarden's well-preserved old prison. Nowadays, you will find all kinds of (small) entrepreneurs here who have studios or shops in the cells of the H-Wing, among other places. You can also attend various workshops at the Blokhuispoort (by appointment).
One of the little shops in the Blokhuispoort is Waanzinnig Leuk! As the name suggests, you can shop for incredibly fun, cozy, and beautiful gifts there. A visit to this shop is a true living room experience. This shop is located in the former executive meeting room in the old Office Building on the H-Wing. The H-Wing used to be the house of detention.
After shopping or workshoping, you can relax in one of the restaurants for a bite to eat or a drink. And have you seen the library yet? It is highly recommended! Come and visit! De Blokhuispoort is open every day. The shops and studios each have their own opening hours. Most are open from Tuesday to Saturday.
