Sophialaan 2 Achmeatoren (Achmea Tower)

Achmeatoren (Achmea Tower)

At almost 115 metres, the Achmea Tower is the tallest building in the Northern Netherlands. The slender tower dominates the skyline of Leeuwarden and works in the horizontal Frisian landscape as a striking beacon that is visible from a great distance. The building consists of two towers with different heights that are, in a way, pushed together.

At the top of the tower is a semi-public space with panoramic views over the city and the countryside. Unfortunately, the tower is not currently open to visitors.
