Make your own brooch, free family workshop during the autumn holidays - October Children's Month

Free workshops, scavenger hunt through the exhibition, and costume party in the hall.

There is plenty to do at the Fries Museum during the autumn break. Discover the new exhibition 'Redbad: The Legendary King'; for young visitors, there is a special, extensive scavenger hunt where they follow two ravens, learn to write their names in runes, and create their own Redbad character. Finished the scavenger hunt? Go to the counter with your completed paper and you will receive a reward! It is already a medieval party in the hall as well: you can dress up and take a photo on Redbad's throne. During the autumn break, there are special extra free creative workshops for the whole family. Pull up a chair in the hall and go home with your own fibula! Be inspired by the jewelry in the exhibition and then make your own unique brooch with gold wire and glass beads. 

Hungry or thirsty afterwards or in between? Café Thús in the hall serves the tastiest lunch, cakes, and snacks! A fun day for the whole family, full of history and creativity. Registration is not necessary; feel free to walk in.
