Leaving the party on time was one of Youp's father's words of wisdom. So he quits, at 70. Van 't Hek is not putting a full stop, but a celebratory exclamation mark behind his career. In his final season, he will tour the theatres where he has enjoyed performing for the past fifty years one last time. One more time of good laughter at everything that makes life ridiculous and attractive.
