Grab a drink, discover hidden spots in the museum, and let yourself be surprised by everything that happens. Dive into the world of King Redbad and step back to the Middle Ages. Play the REDBAD game by Mythemakers, get your hair braided Viking-style, and create your own shiny medieval piece of jewelry inspired by ancient fibulas.
Pop temple Neushoorn has programmed great DJs for us in the hall, guaranteeing that everyone will be dancing.
More of a fan of today? Discover the highlights of the contemporary art exhibitions during quick speed tours. Discover, among others, the film installation by Tina Farifteh, known from the new VPRO series Tina in Sexbierum. This Iranian-Dutch artist melted hearts with her new docuseries on VPRO, in which she moves from Amsterdam to the Frisian village of Sexbierum and radically connects with the residents there. On the third floor, you can see her installation and the—super Instagrammable—work of Robert Zandvliet.
Don't expect a quiet museum evening, but an evening full of art, history, music, and beer. Come with your friends, discover something new, and experience the Fries Museum at its finest.
