The Frisian Forests
This is the land of the Frisian Woods; the tree-rich green pearl of Friesland. Forests, heathland, hedgerows, alder groves, stream valleys, heath and peatlands; variety is abundant here for the cyclist. But the beautiful southeastern corner of Friesland has much more to tell. The history of peat extraction, the Compagnonsvaarten (canals used by the company), the monumental estates, manor houses, and various open-air museums showcase both the rich and poor sides of this special region. Thanks to the secluded landscape, cycling here is delightful in every season!

You determine your own route and the number of kilometers you wish to cycle. You can cycle in two directions, from junction to junction. Remember the number of the starting point where you begin, so that you can also end at the starting point if desired. At each junction, you can choose in which direction you wish to continue your route. The distances between the junctions are indicated on the map.
