The volunteer organization Stichting Praamvaren Leeuwarden organizes group tours through the canals and waterways.
The foundation has five electrically powered barges with a total capacity of 122 people. A skipper and a guide are on board for all tours.
All barges are certified by the Shipping Inspectorate for optimal safety.
Our skippers hold a boating license and skillfully navigate the barge through the canals and waterways. Meanwhile, the well-trained guide shares all kinds of interesting details and facts about the city and our monumental buildings. Barge tours through the canals and waterways of Leeuwarden.
