Mai van Oers: Toen kwamen de wolven

The Fries Museum is showing the first solo exhibition with work by Mai van Oers (Uden, 1953). Her unique drawings take you to a world that is seemingly impossible, where life and death intertwine and in which Van Oers plays with light, order, perspective, infinity and spaciousness. In addition, painted landscapes of her hand can be seen. Through the green and brown of the condensed nature shines the light that brings the small canvases to life. Van Oers studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, won the Jeanne Oosting Prize for painting and lives and works in Amsterdam.
