This exhibition shows masterpieces from the textile collection of 't Andere Museum, as it has been created over the past 20 years.

About the exhibition:
The first exhibition that the museum started 20 years ago was ‘Kantreis door Europa’: ('Lace Journey through Europe'): a unique exhibition that shows a collection of lace bobbin cushions in addition to lace. This exhibition can still be admired as a permanent exhibition of the museum. The collection of lace and bobbin cushions has expanded considerably over the past 20 years, as has the textile collection, partly through donations and partly through purchases, which is reason enough for the museum to display these textile treasures in an anniversary exhibition.
The lace collection is the main component of the museum's textile collection. The exhibition shows you special sides from the 18th century to the present.
In addition, samplers and plugs are also exhibited. Very special are a number of Frisian samplers with texts on them.
An extensive collection of sewing equipment, including chatelaines and sewing boxes, is also part of this exhibition.
Quilts will be on display throughout the museum,
Special regional clothing from Albania and textiles from Peru, brought from foreign travels, make this exhibition a special whole.
Arrangements will be organized around this exhibition. Consult the website of the museum for this. There are continuous lace making demonstrations in the museum.
20 jaar van 't Andere Museum van Oldtimer tot Kant (20 years The Other Museum from Oldtimer to Lace) takes you on a textile journey and shows you its most beautiful textile treasures. The stories told around the textile treasures exhibition enliven the whole.
This exhibition is a must for anyone who loves textiles.
