On 23 and 24 May 2025, we will again turn Leeuwarden upside down, bringing a surprising programme full of street theatre, circus, dance, live music and other special installations and performances!

Welcome to Shared Ground! 

This year at the Fries StraatFestival, we are celebrating ‘Shared Ground’ - the place where we meet, without borders or differences. In a world that sometimes feels divided, we invite you to come together on the street, on the square, in that public space that belongs to us all. This is where something special will happen: spontaneous encounters, unexpected moments and surprises that you share with acquaintances and strangers. Artists from all over the world show that no matter how different we are, or where we come from, we all stand on the same ground. Let's fill this space with stories, music, beautiful experiences and new connections. Join us, experience it together - welcome to Shared Ground!!!
